About the art:  "Raccoon City" - by Dakota Daetwiler - 2025
I was inspired to paint this piece after I received such an awesome reaction from the raccoons in my 2024 Christmas painting. People seemed to love them, so I figured why not make a whole world of just raccoons? We have: (from top to bottom, left to right) The Capitalist, The Weary, The Thief, The Astronomer, The Vacationer, The Musician, The Scholar, The Artist, The Curious One, The Mad Scientist, and The Dozer. Which is your favorite? Mine are definitely the scholar, the scientist, and the astronomer.
I had an absolute blast painting this piece, I am trying this year to focus a lot more on original stylized paintings that come from my heart. This is definitely something I would have sat and stared at for a great while as a kid, which is always my goal when I paint.
 
I am working on a very special custom wood frame for this piece right now, I will post pics of it as soon as it's ready!
