Dakota painted this piece to challenge herself to make a more realistic looking landscape. She got the idea that if she made it look real enough, she could zoom into the rose canvas/easel and act like she was painting at a lake, then zoom out and show the viewer that it was a trick of the eye (or... trick of the canvas?) She had a lot of fun painting this and definitely will do more! It was an exciting challenge and makes for a unique piece in anyone's home.
