About the Art: "The Empress"
Dakota painted The Empress in February of 2023. This original painting is 18x24 inches and is oil on stretched canvas. (Hand made wood frame is included with this original)

If there ever was a piece to embody all that is being a strong woman, this is it. Dakota wanted to imagine an empress of the sea, with all of her magical friends around her. A tamed sea dragon purrs idly by her side and lots of colorful fish (even a lion fish, which is known to be deadly) seem to be tamed by her presence. She looks at the viewer with a fierce and confident eye, while wearing a golden crown studded with shimmering rubies. Her blue hair and bodice are meant to be similar to the ocean, and you can also see small ocean waves along the base of her crown.
This piece is so vividly colored and detailed, it will surely captivate viewers for quite a while as they find all the hidden treasures.
