"Pisces" (Zodiac Series) - Painting by Dakota Daetwiler, 2023.
This is my rendition of the zodiac sign "Pisces." (February 19th to March 20th) The essence of Pisces energy is romantic, helpful, wise, comforting and artistic. I incorporated the story of Pisces within the painting by adding the two fish tugging her by her scarf to safety. Violets (February) and Daffodils (March) surround her on the bottom corners of the painting, as well as the birthstones for February (Amethyst) and March (Aquamarine) represented in the eyes of the fish. Her constellation can be seen behind her in the starry galaxy as well. I found out through my reading that Pisces lucky color is sea green, so I incorporated that into the fish as well as the scarf. Her boddess is metallic looking like armor, and has some of the pattern and resemblance of scales (signifying the mermaid aspect of Pisces.) I hope you enjoy her, I am so happy with how she turned out. I love her warm and inviting smile, and she looks like she is just enjoying life with her fish friends underwater (and in space at the same time!)
